The combination of high speed and outstanding eyesight makes the peregrine falcon and exceptional hunter.Peregrines usually attack other birds by diving on them from above.In these dives they flash downward at speeds up to 28- km/h and strike their prey a deadly blow with a half-closed foot.Smaller birds are often seized in midair.If the victim is heavy,the falcon allows it yo tumble to the ground and than lands beside it.
